This time I came to Shanghai to visit, I decided to stay at Shanghai Bund South China Harbour View Hotel and after three days, I wanted to give a heads up recommendation to all my friends who came to Shanghai. It's located at 53 Huangpu Road, a 10 minute walk to the Bund, surrounded by local delicacies hidden by locals. I didn't have to detour to all the popular check-in points, and the time I spent checking routes was all over the province.
The convenience of transportation is really impeccable. It only takes 10 minutes to walk from Tiantong Road Station on Metro Line 10, without having to drag a suitcase and squeeze through the crowds on the Bund. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel. There are several direct routes to core scenic spots such as Yu Garden and Nanjing Road. If you don't want to wait for the bus, you can get a taxi at the entrance at any time. It only takes 10 minutes to cross the river from Lujiazui, and you don't need to take a long detour to the tunnel. I landed at Hongqiao Airport and took Line 2 to Line 10 for a 40 minute direct ride, without feeling embarrassed with my suitcase. Friends who come by car don't have to worry, the hotel comes with its own exclusive parking lot. After parking, you can walk or ride shared bikes directly to nearby attractions, without having to compete for expensive paid parking spaces in the core area.
The most amazing thing is the 15 minute walking circle around, which directly captures the fireworks atmosphere of old Shanghai. Take a few turns downstairs and you will find our own pan fried restaurant that has been open for over 20 years. It costs 12 yuan for 4 pieces and has a crispy and juicy base, which is much better than the ones in popular online stores that cost only a few tens of yuan. Eight minutes later, there was an old Wonton shop in Shanghai that was still open at 2:00 in the morning. After visiting the Bund in the late night, he could pack a bowl of hot Wonton and return to the hotel. It was so fresh that he even drank all the soup. There are three time-honored snack shops with different tastes around. Fresh meat mooncakes and loaf cakes are all fresh and hot. You don't have to go to the old alleys to find them. You can go downstairs to realize the freedom of Dim sum. Even the seafood market that local talents go to is within a 15 minute walk. If you want to buy some fresh seafood and find nearby small shops for processing, it is much more cost-effective than eating in the scenic area.
The routes to the popular punch in points are all "short and fast": walk 5 minutes to Garden Bridge of Shanghai, and take photos of old Shanghai without crowds; Walk along Huangpu Road for 10 minutes to reach the Bund Observation Deck. You don't have to squeeze into Nanjing East Road with the large army, and you can leisurely stroll past just in time for the sunset on the Huangpu River; If you want to go to the North Bund to see the panoramic view of Lujiazui, you can get there 10 minutes by bike sharing, half of the people are less than the Bund viewing platform, and the river view taken does not need P at all; if you go to the Yu Garden Lantern Show, you can take the bus 20 minutes directly, and you don't have to go out two hours in advance to catch the subway. If you want to clock in at the Nanjing Road Walkway, you can walk for 15 minutes. After shopping, you can directly return to the hotel.
